Covent Garden Market Christmas Lights Switch On - November 2006
The tree is in place - all 65ft of it - on the West Piazza, courtesy of Atholl Estates in Scotland. The base of the tree is adorned with illustrated scenes of old Covent Garden & London. After the countdown- more than 22,000 lights illuminate the tree.

Emma meets the Webster family from Aberdeen, winners of the competition to be at the event. Covent Garden Market manager, Amanda Philips (left) joins the photoshoot.
